The parable of the Sower and the Seed is deceptively simple to understand. It comes from common life anyone can relate to. It is easy to leave it as a simple story told by a simple man, and thus miss the profound mystery it contains! Jesus said he tells parable because

“‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving,
    and ever hearing but never understanding;
otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’ Mark 4:12

“It is an ironic habit of human beings to run faster when we have lost our way.”
