First Time Guest FAQs
In order to help you have the best experience possible, here are a few suggestions that might make your experience a bit less hectic.
1. We recommend getting to the UMT campus at least 15 minutes prior to service time. This is especially important if you have children.
2. If you have children, save time on your first visit by preregistering your children with our KidCheck system. To do that, click HERE.
3. When you come into the main lobby, stop in at the Welcome Desk to check out any further information that you may find helpful as you learn about our ministries and upcoming events.
That’s it! Once again, we’re looking forward to meeting you soon. Until then, check out the rest of the website!
Here are a few more questions we get asked regularly...
Sunday morning you’ll find everything from blue jeans and sneakers to dresses and slacks – so come in whatever you’re comfortable wearing! We’re just excited for you to join us! You’ll fit in no matter how you dress.
You’ll never be asked to stand up, identify yourself, do the hokey-pokey, or anything else that might make you feel uncomfortable or weird. That’s not our style! But please don’t stay anonymous for too long. Never allow fear to develop roots and become a habit. You’re gonna love the feel of the place, the warmth of the people and positively vibe from a Spirit-filled worship. Let us help you get connected and take the next step.
As a guest, we don’t expect any money from you. We’ll have an offering during worship as a way for the Temple community family to prioritize God and share in our mission. Until you know more about us, we encourage you to let the moment pass by. Giving should be joyful, purposeful and an enthusiastic investment in God’s vision for Temple. Your attendance this morning is an answer to our prayers. Today you are the gift we’ve been praying for!
If you do consider Temple your church home, then prayerfully considering a regular contribution. You can give by check or cash during weekend worship or you can set up an online giving account on our Give page.
At each worship time, your kid will experience a safe and fun environment where they can experience community with kids their own age, learn about God’s plan for their life, connect with a Bible story and age-appropriate praise and worship. With their small group leaders and friends, your child will start to create greater self-confidence, rock solid values and memories that will last a lifetime.
Here’s how it works!
Whether you’re checking your child in for Kids Worship or childcare, our greeters will direct you to where you can check in. Using our KidsCheck system, your child will receive a name tag in the event that we would need to contact you during worship.
After worship, our team will be in touch with you to check on your visit and offer an opportunity to register your child for quick check-in when you return.
As a parent, you also will receive a tag. Don’t lose it! All of these tags will have matching identification numbers that are exclusive to your family and your visit. That’s how we keep your kid safe.
Connect with Temple on Social Media
With so much going on, we need the power of Social Media and cell phone technology to stay connected. Not only will you be kept up to date on upcoming events at Temple, we also use our social media to celebrate what God’s doing through our church and to share inspirational truth throughout the week.
